He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Sonnier and Mary Piersall Sonnier; and his siblings, Samuel Sonnier and Vivian Parks. He is survived by: his wife Sue Guidry Sonnier; his son Bryan Sonnier; his stepsons, Joey Ashford, Kris Ashford (Brandi), Toby Ashford and Lannie Ashford (Brandi); and his sister Nancy Reed (Michael). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
