He is survived by: his daughters, Greta Heinen Fontenot (Kane) of Vidrine, Sarah Heinen Rider (Andy) of Duralde, Melissa Heinen Higginbotham (Kory) of Lafayette and Alison Heinen Comeaux (David) of Duralde; the mother of his children Diana Hoffpauer Heinen of Lafayette; his siblings, Johnny Heinen of Roberts Cove, Bill Heinen (Jean) of Lake Charles, Barry Heinen (Kat) of Lafayette, Paul Heinen (Patricia) of Lake Charles, Sandra Heinen Lavergne (Brad) of Roberts Cove and Sherie Heinen Hanley (Pat) of Welsh; his grandchildren, Katherine Fontenot, Kaden Fontenot, Nicholas Fontenot, Ryan Rider (Harley), Seth Rider, Abby Rider, Claire Higginbotham, Katie Higginbotham, Hank Comeaux, Jack Comeaux and Peter Comeaux; his great grandchildren, Karson and Elizabeth Rider; and his brother-in-law Elliot Higinbotham of Roberts Cove. He is also survived by his extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (1301 W Laurel Ave, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the St Leo IV Roman Catholic Church (7166 Roberts Cove Rd, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
