It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Charles Benoit Jr. of Eunice, Louisiana, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Benoit, Sr. and Gladys Cormier; the mother of his children Rita Benoit; his close friend Lelia Roy; his daughter Samantha Marie Benoit; and his siblings, Darrell Benoit, Linda Daigle, Wilda Bihm, Judy Benoit and Joann Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Hope Roy (Robert) and Casey Lynn Benoit (Aaron Guillory); his stepchildren, Vicki Johnson (Brent), Judy Darby (Mike) and Dean Guillory (Randy); his siblings, Gerald Benoit (Rose), Ruby Carrol, Jeanette Prejean (Darrell), Jeanell Johnson, Brenda Benoit (Donald) and Wilma Bihm; his grandchildren, Robert Roy, Jr. (Nicole), Wesley Roy (Latasha), Louis Roy and Isabelle R. Guillory; and his great grandchildren, Dawson, Leah, Jolie, Desten and Augie. He is also survived by thirteen step-grandchildren.
