She was predeceased by: her husband John D. "JD" Thompson; her parents, Atale Fontenot and Lizo Soileau Fontenot; her siblings, Winston "Joe" Fontenot, Melvin Fontenot, Carrie Fontenot, Annie Johnson, Joyce Aucoin and Bertha Bell Soileau; and her granddaughter Brandy.
She is survived by: her children, Randall Thompson (Kathy), Rita Vige (Scott) and Pamela Thompson. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
