He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Johnson and Rosa Mae Fontenot Johnson; and his siblings, Paul Johnson and Pearly Mae Thimmesch. He is survived by: his son Damion Ellis Johnson, Sr.; his grandchild Damion Johnson, Jr.; and his nieces and nephews, Sherry LeBlanc, Pam White, Evelyn Guidry, Diana West, Russell Johnson and Ernest Bertrand.
