She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Picard and Elvina Gaspard Picard; her husband Malta Manuel; her children, Christina Manuel, Susan Bergeron, Mary Boulet and Paul Himel; and her brothers, Jessie Picard, Thomas Picard Jr., Joseph Picard and James Picard.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Himel (Pat) of Sulphur, Thomas Himel (Suzanne) of Ocala, FL, William "Billy" Manuel (Kim) of Lake Charles, Jennifer Gale Castille of Eunice, Cora Cole of Eunice, Laura Thibodeaux (Mike) of Lake Charles, Sandra Reed of Kinder and Janette Fontenot (Joe) of Eunice; and her son-in-law John Bergeron of Eunice. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; as well as extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 16th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (1301 W Laurel Ave, Eunice, LA 70535). A prayer was held on Thursday, August 15th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, August 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1011 Sittig St, Eunice, LA 70535). A burial was held on Friday, August 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM and on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at the St. Paul Cemetery (1301 W Laurel Ave, Eunice, LA 70535).
