He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Brewster Deshotel; his niece Leann Ravey; and his grandparents, Welfoot Paul and Marie Deshotel. He is survived by: his father Hedrick P. Deshotel, Sr. of Basile; his siblings, Jackie Deshotel Ravey (David) of Basile, Kathy Deshotel Silvas (Benito) of Basile and Hedrick P Deshotel, Jr. (Rhonda) of Basile; and his godchildren, Eric Deshotel and Hedrick P. Deshotel, III.
