With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deanna Young Prather of Eunice, Louisiana, who passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Burley Prather; her parents, Vinel Young and Alie Courville Young; and her brothers, Henry Young (late Dorothy) and John Dillard Young (late Ruby).

She is survived by: her children, Verland Prather (late Pam), Tommy Prather (Roanleigh), Monica Doucet (Timothy) and Pamela Marcantel (Kennard); her siblings, Gilbert Young (late Sandra), Eddie Reviere (late Clarence) and Linda Slocum (late Lacy); her grandchildren, Amber, Henry, Ryan, Brittney, Jon-Eric, Megan, Hannah, Elizabeth, Brooke, Gary and Travis; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Lathan, Christian, Brayland, Weston, Avery, Declan, Stetson and Roman; and her pet Gurley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Quirk & Son Funeral Home - Eunice (121 S 6th St, Eunice, LA 70535). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
