He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; and his parents, Peter Parrie and Edna Bertrand Parrie. He is survived by: his children, Jim Parrie (Sheila) of New Orleans, Paul Parrie of New Orleans and Teresa Stern (Ben) of Raleigh, N. C.; his brother Elman J. Parrie (Patricia) of New Orleans; his grandchildren, Eric Parrie, Courtney Green (Mike) and Will Parrie; and his great grandchildren, Axel and Lula Green.
