He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Meche and Ada Thibodeaux Meche; his siblings, Clarence Meche and Rita Meche; and his grandchildren, Azalie Nicole Meche and Austin Mathew LeBouef.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Fontenot Meche; and his children, Frank Joseph Meche (Rebecca), Michael Louis Ortego (Sunshine), Melissa Deboer (Sjoerd), Linda Faye Meche and Nicole Clavier. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
