He was predeceased by: his mother Verta I Roy; his wife Elia; his father Lagge Roy; and his brothers, William Roy, Joseph Roy and Lee Jay Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Shelia M, Jeffers (Phil), Louis Roy Jr. of Crowley, Katherine Istre Greschke (Robert Dale Greschke) of Crowley, Patricia M. Istre, Ray Allen Istre of Estherwood, Brenda Gail Hebert of Crowley, Wayne Dale Roy and Veronica Morgan of Egan; his sister Dorothy; his nephew Richard Roy (Randal Roy Stephen Roy); his niece Donna; his grandchildren, Gail Roy and Nicholas Istre; and his in-law Wallace. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 22 great Grandchildren.
