She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Williamson and Roberta Williamson; her parents-in-law, Archie and Clara Smith; her granddaughter Jessica Waring; and her brother Charles R. Williamson, Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Larry Allen Smith; her children, Belinda Smith (Ben) and Joseph A. Smith, Sr. (Donna); her sister Nancy Conners; and her grandchildren, Katie Adams, Joseph Smith, Alex Smith, Becca Shadowens and Jared Waring. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
