Getta Harper Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Getta Harper of Eros, Louisiana, born in Chatham, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. J. Willhite, Sr. and Vera Bailey Willhite; and her brother E. J. Willhite, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Harper; her sons, Tim Harper (Coritha) and Kenneth Harper; her grandchildren, Zach Harper, Haley Ann Dopson (Logan), Birdie Violet Harper and Kenneth Leo Harper; her great grandchild Vivien Harper; and her sisters, Doris Mott and Sarah Ward (Jerry). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mt Olive Baptist Church (674 Mt Olive Church Rd, Eros, LA 71238). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
