He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mavaline Wheelis; his brother James Taylor; his father Huey Wheelis; his wife Peggy; his sons, Lee Wheelis (Jennifer) and Brandon Wheelis (Erica); his brother Benny Taylor (Annette); his siblings-in-law, Wayne Rhymes (Sharon), Denis Rhymes and Joyce Wilson (David); and his uncle Bobby Wheelis (Sylvia). He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; special friends he grew to love like sons and others like brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gathering Church Building Fund, 207 Defreese Road West Monroe, LA 71291.
