He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Givens and Patricia Branch Givens; his siblings, Marylin Bryant, Deborah Bass, Michael C. Givens and Aubrey "Dee" Givens; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Nurmi, Tim Copeland and Pat Bass.
He is survived by: his wife Angie Thompson Givens; his son Daniel Givens; his stepchildren, Joseph Gray, Shelby Gray, Savannah Perkins (Matt), Jonathan Campbell and Sarah Campbell; and his siblings, Pamela Nurmi of Grovetown, Katie Copeland of Eros, Jennifer Brown of Woodbine, Georgia (Henry Brown, Jr.), Johnnye Pate of West Monroe, Louisiana, Scot Givens of Denham Springs, Merle Givens of Chatham and Kevin Givens of Eros, Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
