It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Ray Wood of Eros, Louisiana, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Wood and Floyd Wood (Pop); his stepmother Ida Wood; his wife Pam Simpson Wood; and his sister Barbara Patton.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sue Temple; his daughters, Beth Blanchard (Todd) and Mandi Hamilton (Jon); his stepchildren, Carmela Flores, Matthew Conerly (Bridget), Timothy Conerly, Teresa Bergeron (Les) and Joshua Conerly; and his siblings, Betty Robertson, Jerry Wood (Sandra), Sharon Hendrix (Gerald), Sherman Wood and Marvin Burr. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
