With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mayo Morvant of Erath, Louisiana, who passed away on April 2, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ouida G. Morvant; his parents, Rene Morvant and Clemence Reaux Morvant; and his siblings, Effie Dore, Eunice Vincent, Marie Dore, Erita Delahoussaye, Leo Morvant, Sr. and Willis Morvant.
He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Hanks (Michael) of Erath and Vickie Michaud (Dale) of Erath; his brother Elson "T. B." Morvant (Mary Ann) of Duson; his grandchildren, Timothy Hanks of Erath, Brett Michaud (Desiree), Brock Michaud (Jordan) and Tammy Blacknall of Kilgore, TX; and his great grandchildren, Haley Hanks (Collin) of Youngsville, Gavin Hanks of Erath, Micah Michaud of Erath, Harper Gautreau of Erath, Cooper Michaud of Abbeville and Emmett Michaud of Erath. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath (209 E Putnam St, Erath, LA 70533). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
