He was predeceased by: his parents, Aveneal Meaux, Sr. and Lillian Sellers; his parents-in-law, John and Dorothy Schleicher; and his brother-in-law Robert Wismer.
He is survived by: his wife Dona of Abbeville; his children, Bobby Meaux (Lisa), Shelly Meaux and Tonya Goutierrez (Brian); his siblings, Billy Meaux (Dianna) and Tina Hebert (Bobby); his grandchildren, Keith, Mandy, Leah, Megan, Jacqulyne, Dylan, Trey, Kensie, Lena and Logan; and his godchildren, Shane Meaux, Sabrina Kelley, Logan Issa and Kaitlynn Choate. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
