He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. and Audrey Matherne; and his brother Charles "Butch" Matherne. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth George Matherne; his daughter Britni Matherne; and his brothers, Terry Matherne (Peggy), Ronny Matherne (Tammy) and Paul Matherne (Deborah). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
