She was predeceased by: her parents, Quentin Hayes and Lucy Bates Hayes; the father of her children Royce B. Hughes; her husband Charles E. Haftman; her son Royce B. Hughes, Jr.; and her sisters, Mary Hayes, Jean Doughty and Kaye Flemming.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Hughes Edwards (Gary) of Centerpoint, David W. Hughes (Margaret) of Effie and Daryl A. Hughes (Ernita) of Moncla; and her sister Derra Hayes Paulk. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
