With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winnie Tassin Chauvin of Edgard, Louisiana, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Philip Chauvin, Jr.; her parents, Mariel Webre Tassin and Isaie Tassin; and her siblings, Mary Ann Dugas and Lewis Tassin.
She is survived by: her children, Philip E. Chauvin, III (Margaret), Joy Ann Kennon (William), Gail Zeringue (Rene) and Donald Chauvin (Mary); her grandchildren, Nicole Delaigle, Rene Zeringue, III, Jarred Zeringue, Regina Lajaunie, Angele Chauvin, Jan Gros, Brooke Nokes, Kristin Surmik and Dana Peltier; and her great grandchildren, Gage, Austin, Reece, Rhett, Don III, Landry, Riley, Gavin, Nicholas, Noah, Mollie, Britt, John Brooks, Thomas and Jeremiah. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Philip Catholic Church (1175 Hwy 18, Vacherie, LA 70090). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
