Wayne Bethencourt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Bethencourt of Edgard, Louisiana, who passed away on August 10, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floristal Bethencourt of Edgard, LA and Adeline Bethencourt (Augusta) of Edgard, LA; his wife Joyce Smith Bethencourt (Avondale Shipyard); and his brother Roger Bethencourt. He is survived by: his son-in-law Torey Mathieu Sr.; his grandsons, Torey Mathieu Jr. and Kaleb Mathieu; his siblings, Michael, Kermit and Charlene; his godchildren, Stephanie Smith and Nizair Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Brignac (Stephen), Shirley Smith, Evelyn Poche (Joel) and Gary Smith. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
