With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lorraine Albertine Alexis of Edgard, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Benjamin and Carmel LeBoeuf Mathieu; her husband Elmo Joseph Alexis; her daughter Lennaire Carmel Alexis; her siblings, Marie Theresa Mathieu McCray (Kado), Noah Felix Mathieu (Melba Bartholomew) and Edgar Lansdale Mathieu (Arthmese Jarrow); and her in-laws, Harold Alexis, Blanche Moll, Grace Populus, Olga Barnes and Gloria Clayton.
She is survived by: her grandson Kristopher Mathieu Turner; her great grandchildren, MeiLani Lennaire Turner, Kristian Juelz Turner, Kaden Mathieu Turner and Kasen Mathieu Turner; her brother Roy Joseph Mathieu (Edna Nicholas); and her in-laws, Lawrence Alexis (Marie Nicholas), Merlin Alexis, Delores Brown and Zenobia Bachemin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1 Rectory Ln, Hahnville, LA 70057). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery (2349 LA-18, Edgard, LA 70049).
