He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelina Burke Bailey and Prescott Bailey, Sr. of Edgard, Louisiana.; his wife Earline Dumas Bailey; his grandson Gerald Smith, Jr. (Cherishing); his close friend Carolyn Clark; and also, Shaquitta Green, Kershell Marie Bailey of Edgard, Louisiana, Keverne Ann Bailey of Garyville, Louisiana, Demetria Ann Bailey of Ponchatoula, Louisiana and Janel Marie Bailey of Edgard.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Semaj Love, Onijae Love, Casidy August, Kodah Poche, Wynter Gauthier, Nola Duhon, Dakota Bailey, Denym Bailey and Dayton Bailey; his siblings, Joseph Bailey, Lucille Bailey-Bernard, Joyce Darensburg (Nuffy), Theresa Scoffield (Lawrence) and Autherine Borne (Jonathan); his siblings-in-law, Leonise Oubre (Snell), Dolter Keller (Julius), Delton Dumas (Dolores), Hamilton Dumas, Welton Dumas (Elodie), Raymond Dumas, Gentry "Jay" Dumas, Adler Weber, Sr. and Morris Dumas; his siblings, Prescott Bailey, Jr. (Marion), Dianne Bailey and Eric Bailey (Belinda); his uncle Raymond Bailey, Sr.; his siblings-in-law, Glenda Weber, Shirley Dumas, Lois Dumas, Margaret Dumas and Verna Dumas; and his godchildren, Roxanne Borne, Kim Bailey, Ada Poche-James, Trumaine Schexnayder and Roderick Percy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
