He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Peter Roy and Cecile Plauche; his wife Geraldine Trahan Roy; and his brother-in-law Leo Bourgeois. He is survived by: his children, Joni Roy Hamilton (David), Shawn Roy (James) and Lisa Roy Sheppert (Bill); his granddaughter Heather Hamilton (Kyle Habetz); and his siblings, Kenneth Roy (Mona) and Lynn Roy Bourgeois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial and honoraria giving be made to St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Duson, LA and the UL Lafayette Opera Theatre.
