It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mamie L. Smith (Duson, Louisiana), who passed away on October 13, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Prejean and Gladys Broussard; her daughter Janelle Touchet; and her sister Judy Hebert. She is survived by: her spouse Jessie Smith of Duson; her children, Mark Joseph Smith of Rayne, Linda Touchet (Richard) of Crowley and Melissa Landry (Steve) of Carencro; her grandchildren, Candace Bourque, Gage Fritz, Caiden Herring, Bailey Touchet, Breanna Touchet and Dillion Smith; her great grandchildren, Oakley Barras and McKenzie Barras; and her brother Rodney Prejean of Kaplan.
