He was predeceased by: his children, Bridget Roy and Justin Roy; and his father Malcolm Roy. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Guidry Roy; his mother Helen Guillory Roy; his stepchildren, Ava Trahan (Cory), Tobias Scallan and Savannah Scallan; his stepgrandchildren, Olivia, Maverick and Josephine; and his siblings, Wendy Riche (Ricky) and Wayne Roy (Rhonda). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
