He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Authement Trosclair; his parents, Julian J. Trosclair and Mary Voisin Trosclair; his daughters, Jennie Marie Trosclair Bergeron and Cheryle Trosclair Chassion; his grandchildren, Elwin J. "Joey" Duplantis III and Summer Lynn Trosclair; and his daughter-in-law Carmelite "Pixie" Trosclair.

He is survived by: his children, James M. Trosclair (Karen Samanie), Brian A. Trosclair (Greta Sue), Clark P. Trosclair (late Angela Ross) and June Lebouf (Frank); and his sister Jean Trosclair Pellegrin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
