He was predeceased by: his granddaughters, Madeline Grace Maxey and Annette Elizabeth Maxey; his parents, Otha Maxey and Lorraine Maxey; and his siblings, Margaret Williams, James "Buck" Maxey, Jerry Maxey, Acy Maxey and Jerrel "Kid" Maxey.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Maxey; his children, Ashley White (Prator) and Kirk Maxey (Natalie); his grandsons, Landon Jordan, Conner Maddox, Mason Maddox and Grant Maxey; his great grandchild Skylar Jordan; and his brother John Maxey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
