He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otha and Lorraine Maxey; his wife Rose Maxey; and his siblings, Margaret Maxey Williams, Buck Maxey, Jake Maxey, Acy Maxey, Ronnie Maxey and Kid Maxey.
He is survived by: his son Brian Maxey of Seattle, Washington; and his sister-in-law Jerry (Janice Bass). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his brother-in-law.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Liberty Chapel (100 McKeithen Dr, Alexandria, LA 71303).
