He is survived by: his parents, Cynthia Ates and Charles Ates; his children, Dade Patrick Ates and Charlee Edlyn Ates; his siblings, Charles Michael Ates (Sara) and Sheri K. Shields (Michael); and his nieces, Harmony Brevelle (Mike), Haley R. Blanchard (Trevor), Jessica Scarborough (Cody), Kristin Ates and Tessa Ates.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Alpine First Baptist Church (7215 Shreveport Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (4000 Monroe Hwy, Ball, LA 71405).
