He is survived by: his children, Charles Nichols (Jan "Cookie") of Dry Prong and Loretta Scroggs (Carl) of Meridian, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, Charles Nichols, Jr. (Kristina), Benjamin "Joey" Nichols (April), Christopher Scroggs (Hailey), Kimberly Lynne Murdock (Kyle) and Ashley Chandler. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
