He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene Lovine Nichols; his son Billy Wayne Nichols, Jr.; and his parents, Willie Nichols and Mary Nichols. He is survived by: his children, Charles Nichols (Jan "Cookie") of Dry Prong and Loretta Scroggs (Carl) of Meridian, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, Charles Nichols, Jr. (Kristina), Benjamin "Joey" Nichols (April), Christopher Scroggs (Hailey), Kimberly Lynne Murdock (Kyle) and Ashley Chandler. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Rush Funeral Home - Pineville (3307 Monroe Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
