He is survived by: his wife LaTonya Hooter; his sons, Michael Hooter and Kyle Hooter (Leianna); his grandchildren, Jaxon Hooter, Ann Elise Hooter, Rayner Hooter, Adrian Hooter, Charleigh Kate Hooter and Saria Hooter; his siblings, Ed Hooter (Kim), Clifford Hooter (Jackie), Joe Hooter (Donniel), Matt Hooter (Marie), Lora Bradford (Johnny) and Martha Bouillion (Joe); and his pet Whiskers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
