He was predeceased by: his wife Denise Smith VanOvermeer; his parents, John VanOvermeer and Jeannine VanOvermeer; his brother Timothy VanOvermeer; and his nephew Gregory Landin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ed VanOvermeer, Lynn Taylor (Ron), Kim Szegi (Jim) and Rebecca VanOvermeer. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
