He was predeceased by: his parents, Arviel Hitt and Irma Miller Hitt; his brother Gary Wayne Hitt; his grandparents, Fred Blanks, Dorothy Albritton Hitt, Carley Cordell and Laura Lorraine Maynor Miller; and his brother-in-law Asa Knox Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Stafford Hitt; his sons, Chase Alspaugh (Danielle Williams) and Joshua Hitt; his granddaughters, Bailey Alspaugh, Hailee Hitt Hatten and Brooklyn Adriana Hitt; and his siblings, Rhonda Knox, Lisa Morace (Drew Hawthorne), Charlotte Morace and Shawn Morace (April). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
