He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene Cavalier and Inez Sanchez Cavalier; his stepmother Manela Cavalier; his brothers, Lawrence Cavalier, Russell Cavalier, Sr., Wilbert Cavalier, Sr. and Billy Joe Cavalier; and his sons-in-law, Keith Saucier, Pallbearers, Taylor Capello, Jace Babin, Jacobe Cavalier, Brent Cavalier, Hunter Soileau and Tristan Wickwire.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Cavalier; his children, Cynthia Cavalier Saucier, Stephanie Duplessis, Brandi Soileau Lewis (Kerry "Peewee" Lewis), Inez Marie Cavalier Ainsworth (Marion "Bo" Ainsworth), Terry Paul Cavalier and Mark Phillip Soileau (Jennifer Leblanc Soileau); and his siblings, Theresa Truxillo, Patricia "Pat" Blanchard, Ivy Cavalier, Sr., Michael Cavalier, Sr. and Jerry "Pnut" Cedotal. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
