He was predeceased by: his former wife Rosemary Garon; his children, Louise Joffrion, Mary Carbo and Kenny Joffrion; his parents, Leonard Morgan "Rip" Joffrion and Juanita Noel Joffrion; his siblings, Robert, Olin, Ray, Morgan, Richard Joffrion, Geraldine Joffrion Lofton and Dorothy "Connie" LeBlanc; and his stepchildren, Felix "Chip" Grisaffe and Kelly Grisaffe Rome.

He is survived by: his sons, Bayou Tranquil and No Problem Raceway; his wife Joan Guichet Grisaffe; his children, Virgil, Jr. (Louise), Steve (Stacy), Kathleen "Gal" Joffrion Lillian (Robert), Gruner Felix (Robert), Patrick "Pat" Marion (Kristi), Thomas "Tommy" (Holly), Ruthie Golden (Rusty) and Dale Gremillion (Jana); his stepchildren, Stephanie Thibodeaux (Chuckie), Burt Grisaffe (Darla) and John Grisaffe; and his stepson-in-law Stephen Rome. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and good neighbors.
