She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmira and Nelly Gaines, Sr.; her husband Cail North, Sr.; and her sons, Cail North, Jr., David North, Sr. and Russell North, Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Beverly, Peggy North of Donaldsonville, Rose North Carter (Aldoph) of New Orleans, Michael, Jerry, Jamie North (Crystal) of Donaldsonville, Kenneth North (Stephanie) of Napoleonville and Lionel North (Montrella) of Fort; and her siblings, Joyce Gaines of Labadieville, Charles Gaines (Margie), Roland Gaines (Annie Mae) of Donaldsonville and Larry Gaines (Hazel) of White Castle. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
