Lucille Hymel Bye Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Hymel Bye (Donaldsonville, Louisiana), who passed away on June 10, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ivy Bye; her son Gary Bye (Connie); her granddaughter Shelly Bye; her parents, George Hymel and Marie Hymel; and her siblings, George (Inez), Merlin (Martha), Nelson (Marie), Ivy (Martha), Clifton "Kippy" (Doris), Eunice Hymel, Edith Laurent (Stephen), Mabel Granier (Luke "Duck") and Amy Laurent.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Chauvin (Eugene "Tunny"); her siblings, Marie Therese Gonzales and Lloyd Hymel; her grandchildren, Leslie Kimble (Chris), Rae Lynne Amedee (Casey), Danielle Chauvin and Dean Bye (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Holden, Lily Amedee, Abigail, Harrison Kimble, Caleb, Dawson, Lexi, Cameron and Cloe Bye; her brother-in-law Lloyd "Peanut" Laurent; and her close friend Mary Anne Granier.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
