He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ester and Nellie Ester; and his brothers, Walter Ester Jr. and Andrew Ester Sr.. He is survived by: his significant other Catherine Ester; and his children, Danielle Johnson, Latoril Johnson, Tyrese Ester and Troy Phillip.
