He was predeceased by: his son John Babin, Sr.; his parents, Laurene Babin, and Louis Babin, Sr.; and his siblings, Louis, Jr., Lionel, Wallace Babin, Helen Young, Lee Ethel Dyer and Mary Ann of Washington.
He is survived by: his wife Roselene Babin; his children, Joseph Babin, Jr., Calvin Babin, Tyrone Babin, Lois Ann Babin and Shawn Marie Babin; his brother Maurice Babin (Sheryl); and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Kenzie and Betty Broussard. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
