He is survived by: his children, Nikias Nicholas, Taju Nicholas (Aisha) and Ta-Tanisha Gross (Thomas); and his siblings, Rose Nicholas, Irma Nicholas Garcia, Elma Williams, Joseph Sr. and Lionell Nicholas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren one of whom was raised as his own Akia Theriot, and 4 great-grandchildren.
