It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irving J Schexnayder of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schexnayder and Aimee Schexnayder; his siblings, Doris Sigmon, Vivian McCready, Walter Schexnayder, Jr., Alice Eaton, Gloria Prewit and Lorraine Hudspeth; and his daughter-in-law Stephanie Schexnayder.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Schexnayder; his children, Catherine Schexnayder Martinez (Wayne), Barbara Schexnayder Martin, Melissa Schexnayder Shaw (David), Lizabeth Schexnayder Simoneaux and Michael Schexnayder; his stepdaughters, Rhonda Fernandez (Dale) and Darla Cavalier; the mother of his children Patsy Schexnayder; his sister Enola James (Francis); his grandchildren, Susan Glueck (Ben), Mike Schexnayder (Kat), Laura Martinez (Amanda), Alison Sullivan (Michael), James Martin, Meghan Buckley (Dave), Beth Ramos (Christian), Erin Chustz (Tyler), Robert Simoneaux, Madeline Simoneaux, Lillian Simoneaux, Brent Cavalier (Shelby) and Courtney Fernandez; and his great grandchildren, Patrick Glueck, William Glueck, Lee Glueck, Stella Glueck, Parker Sullivan, Owen Buckley, Liam Chustz and Alyssa Cavalier.
