He was predeceased by: his parents, James Reeves and Victoria Creppel Tipton. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mistretta Tipton; his children, Caryn T. Daigle (Steve Furlow) of Pierre Part, LA and Michael Reeves Tipton (Annette) of Tillatoba, MS; his brother Gustavo Oliva (Eva) of Osyka, MS; his grandchildren, Austin Reeves Tipton, Joshua Michael Tipton (Sarah), Ethan Charles Tipton, Seth Allen Daigle (Carley), Sera Catherine Daigle and Sophie Marie Daigle; and his great grandchild Leo Thomas Tipton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins.
