She was predeceased by: her husband Louis J. Poirrier Sr.; her parents, Dozillia J. Hymel and Marie Waguespack Hymel; and her siblings, Donald Hymel (Marjorie), Richard Hymel (Ann), Huey "Mike" Hymel (Ella Mae), Russel Hymel (Doris), Marguerite Bourgeois (Paul), Leonie Hymel, Yolande H. Waguespack (Earl), Elsie H. Zeringue (Noel), Irma H. Marchadie, Rowena H. Labat (Ray), Geraldine H. Becnel (Lloyd), Faye H. Troxclair (Paul) and Elaine H. Troxclair (Stanley).
She is survived by: her son Louis "Bubby" Poirrier Jr. (Lisa); and her granddaughter Mikala Myers Leonard (Chris Leonard).
