With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carrie Lee Fernandez (Donaldsonville, Louisiana), born in Paincourtville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2024 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her father Rev. Earl Brown, Jr.; her brothers, Darryl Brown Sr., Willie Brown, Sr. (Rose) and Gregory Brown Sr.; her grandparents, McKinley Benjamin, Moesa Gertrude Benjamin, Earl Brown, Sr. and Angnetta Brown; her father-in-law James Fernandez, Sr. (Adele); and her brothers-in-law, Donald Jefferson and James Fernandez, Jr..
She is survived by: her mother Susan Benjamin Brown; her children, Ronald Fernandez, Jr. (Dellina) and Victoria Fernandez Bell (Kendall); her grandchildren, Raniya, Ramaun Fernandez, Jalyn and Bryce Bell; her siblings, Angela Jefferson, Sheryl Brown, Linda Hill (Harvey), Edward Brown, Douglas Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Sr., Michael Brown (Kathy) and Raymond Brown; her sister-in-law Carolyn Brown; her aunts and uncles, Elouise Lazarde (Stevie), Mary Louise Cunnikin, Vernell Brown, Sr., Junious Brown and Charles Ratcliff; and her godchildren, Marseyas Fernandez, James Fernandez III and Briana Fernandez Green. She is also survived by children, elderly relatives or friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lord Catholic Church (716 Mississippi St, Donaldsonville, LA 70346). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
