With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Williams Jones (Donaldsonville, Louisiana), born in Labadieville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2024. She was predeceased by: her husband Reverand; her parents, Alberta Williams, and Oliver Williams, Sr.; and her siblings, Lillian Van Buren, Hazel Robertson, Munson, Oliver, Jr., Charles, Morris and Claude Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Dafinee Landry (Bruce), Patrick Johnson (Jennifer), Errol Johnson, Mark Johnson and Joel Jones (Laurey); and her sister Gracie Brown. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (808 St Patrick St, Donaldsonville, LA 70346). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
