He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Mae Sandidge Stroud and G. H. Stroud; his wife Melba Tarver Stroud; his son James Scott Stroud; and his siblings, Basil, Charles Stroud and Ruth Stroud.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Scott Stroud (Tammy), Teresa Stroud McGee (Darcy), Jami Stroud and Chuck Stroud (Charlotte); and his siblings, Judy Harlan (Wayne) and George Stroud (Mary).
