He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Midkiff Cox and Jessie Calvin Cox; his siblings, Racheal Woods, David Cox and Evie Southall; and his siblings-in-law, Gene Terral, Sr. and Bertha Terral.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Cox; his daughters, Janis Lawson (Bobby) and Valerie Berry (Jeffery); his grandchildren, Destiny, Hunter, Garrett, Hailey, Holly, Daniel and Wesley; and his siblings, Darlene Vines, Tish Vail, Shirley McGuire and Herbert Cox. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
