He is survived by: his wife Sheila Ann Smith Stanton of Deville; his children, John Stanton of Deville, Julie Wray (James) of Pineville and Stephanie VanGossen (Jimmy) of Pitkin; his sisters, Shirley Jones of Wichita and Sharon Johnson of Bothell, Washington; and his grandchildren, Richard Lofton (Raven), Ava Wray (Kayla), Cameron VanGossen, Chandler VanGossen and Jayden VanGossen.
